You know, there is something strange about Dark Energy. Or I don't quite understand how it works (or why).
Astrophysicists saw that galaxies are flying apart with some acceleration. So, they applied Second Newton's law (F = ma), and concluded, that there is some FORCE that is "pushing" those galaxies.
But, on the other hand, we are catching photons that started their journey to us billions years ago because the SPACE itself is expanding.
Maybe there is no force to begin with, but the expansion itself is causing those galaxies to accelerate? Or maybe it is some "property" of space itself, that it expands in absence of gravity (deep between galaxies, in the void)?
